We do not typically give our dogs or any foster dogs table scraps. When we are eating the dogs are not allowed to sniff at the table or beg. As a treat we will sometimes give the dogs a pizza crust. They also get carrots and other healthy treats.  Whenever we give the dogs human treats it’s away from a table and not during human eating time.
We recently discovered that Haven likes bananas. Beacon sniffs, turns his nose up, and walks away. He’s not a fan of lettuce.  It’s not Haven’s favorite but she’ll eat it.
Haven is a sucker for treats of the dog or human variety. She gets pretty close to begging, giving us those sad puppy dog eyes letting us know that she’d like to try whatever we’re eating.  She’ll try anything we’re willing to give her.
